Having lived in poverty I understand what it is like to have to put bills such as food and shelter above my mental healthcare needs, which in turn affected my physical health. This is why I want to work with my patients to come up with a solution. If at some point you feel you are struggling to pay for care through me or another provider I want to work on it together to find a solution.
I provide Superbills for those with out of network insurance. Superbills act similar to an insurance claim with a few key differences. The first is the client pays for care upfront. Then after the client is presented with a document that looks like an insurance claim. The client sends the document to the insurance company for reimbursement of the money they paid

What if my insurance doesn't reimburse the whole amount?
This is possible. It is best to call your insurance before treatment to see what the coverage is on specific mental health insurance cost. I would be considered out of network, but my fees average an in network cost making it more likely for full reimbursement.
What about my medication?
The medication I prescribe will still be covered through any insurance you carry as it has in the past with one exception:
I am currently ended my enrollment with Medicaid. Some Medicaid programs will not pay for medication if your provider is not enrolled.
